Overview
The Portfolio Manager / Investment Manager will be responsible for managing discretionary portfolios mandates in line with Spring Investments’ investment philosophy, risk framework, and regulatory obligations. The role requires strong judgment, disciplined portfolio construction skills, and the ability to operate independently within a regulated Swiss asset-management environment.The position is hands-on and execution-focused, with direct involvement in investment decisions, monitoring, and ongoing portfolio optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Investment Execution

  • Manage discretionary portfolios and/or fund mandates across relevant asset classes, in line with defined investment objectives and risk limits.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor portfolio construction strategies, including asset allocation, security selection, and risk budgeting.
  • Execute investment decisions efficiently and in compliance with internal policies and best-execution standards.

Investment Research & Decision Support

  • Conduct fundamental and market-based investment analysis to support portfolio decisions.
  • Monitor macroeconomic developments, market trends, and risk factors impacting portfolios.
  • Participate actively in investment discussions, committee meetings, and strategy reviews.

Risk Management & Controls

    • Ensure portfolios remain compliant with internal risk limits, regulatory constraints, and client mandates.
    • Monitor portfolio risks (market, credit, liquidity) and proactively adjust exposures as required.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of investment and risk-management processes.

Client & Internal Interaction

  • Support client discussions and investment updates, particularly for Hebrew- and English-speaking clients where relevant.
  • Work closely with operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure smooth portfolio implementation and reporting.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, investment rationales, and portfolio reporting as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

  • 5–7 years of professional experience as a Portfolio Manager or Investment Manager, with direct responsibility for portfolio construction and investment decisions.
  • Relevant university degree. A CFA charterholder is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew (writing and speaking). Good knowledge of the French and/or German language is an advantage.
  • Swiss nationality or a valid Swiss B permit.
  • Professional Skills
  • Proven track record in discretionary portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to structured investment and risk frameworks.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, suitable for a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
  • Managing client relationships effectively and prospecting new clients
  • Advising clients on portfolio management, asset allocation, wealth structuring, and investment strategies
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of U/HNWI clients
Requirements
  • Strong team player with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must have an existing book of U/HNWI clients and AUM of at least $50m (all markets)
  • Knowledge of investment solutions across all asset classes and products (fixed income, equities, etc.)
  • Excellent English; additional languages are an advantage
